Access for All to the Arts at the Theatre

We welcome everyone to Avoca Beach Theatre! We are committed to making our programmes and events accessible for all.

From the footpath to your seat, you can have a step-free journey, with gentle ramps in place. Entry into the auditorium is flat and level with wheelchair spaces available with companion seats beside them. Be sure to ask at the Box Office for the availability of wheelchair spaces and/or companion seats when booking your seats and ask to have the seats you need reserved for you.

There is one step into the rest of the auditorium with a handrail either side followed by a gentle slope. A ramp can be requested for the step if required. Or if you prefer a staff member to help you to your seat, please ask our friendly Front of House staff.

Other accessibility: For those who have minor hearing difficulties, we have available Free Headphones & Open Caption Screenings of films as well as many subtitled foreign films.

Our new Accessible Toilets have a dedicated wheelchair accessible toilet room as well as ambulant toilet cubicles in both the male and female facilities. These were funded by the NSW Government My Community Project through Laughing Bird Arts Association. We thank the NSW Government for caring for the people of our electorate. We also thank the people of our electorate who voted for this to happen. It truly allows for Access for All to the Arts.
