Ticket prices vary for special events however our standard prices are as follows

We’re located at 69 Avoca Drive Avoca Beach, NSW 2251
From Hornsby: approx 1hr drive
From Newcastle: approx 1hr 15min drive
From Woy Woy: approx 20min drive
When is the Theatre open?
The Theatre is open 30 mins prior to the first movie of the day and closes when the last patron leaves.
If there are no movies advertised, the Theatre is closed for maintenance.
Where can I park?
There’s parking located all around the theatre (marked below in red)
What are your terms & conditions?
Will people be removed for being too noisy?
Yes we do! Everyone has the right to quiet enjoyment of their entertainment options here at the Theatre. Anything that disturbs others will be requested to stop by the staff, and if the behaviour continues, the patron/s will need to leave immediately. All patrons need to follow instructions given by our staff.

What is offered at your Wine and Cocktail Bar?
Sit back and relax in our quiet beach side garden or enjoy the best in entertainment with a glass of something refreshing!
We love to give you the very best in everything we do! We have a curated range of bespoke alcoholic choices – many of them locally produced!
Our great range of Craft Beers are locally brewed – coming from our friends at Six Stings Brewery and Sydney Brewery, with many of their specialty, designer beers coming in for limited seasons. Standard range beers are also available.
Great range of red and white wines, rose, bubbly, sparkling rose, brut, prosecco and moscato available by the glass.
Many of our cocktails are again made by award winning, locally produced spirits. We have the ever-popular house specialties plus for many of our special events, we concoct a special cocktail just for the event!
What is available at your Café?
We have experienced baristas working our commercial 2 head coffee machine and for every cup freshly grind our locally roasted gourmet coffee beans to give you the best coffee experience around.
Our milk comes from the one dairy – Little Big Dairy Milk – to ensure the highest quality. We also have available Oat Milk, Almos Milk, Soy Milk and Lactose Free Milk.
We have a wide range of Herbal Teas and Ice Teas and choose to offer a range of Bondi Chais and are always complimented on our luscious Hot Chocolates.
We carry a range of Milkshake flavours that are made to order – our most popular being Chocolate with a double Expresso Coffee Shot!
We also carry a large range of cold drinks – some of which are locally produced.
Our array of sweet treats is always changing, ranging from large, delicious cookies, both wholesome and guilt-laden slices, banana breads and carrot cakes, brownies and our very popular muffins. Other treats make star appearances from time to time.
Can I take my wine or beer into the Auditorium for the show?
Yes, you can! Of course there are legal responsibilities that must be adhered to and there may be occasions where alcohol cannot be consumed in the auditorium, but generally speaking the answer is ‘Yes!’
Meal & Food
I would like a meal before or after my movie – where can I go?
Avoca Beach has many options for eating, and a great variety of different cuisines and price ranges. It’s wise to check opening hours of each venue directly so that you can plan your visit. Please remember to book your table early enough to allow for your meal to be completed prior to the concert or start time here at the Theatre. We do not allow food not purchased at the Theatre into the auditorium.
Do you have mobility impaired access into the Theatre?
We welcome everyone to the Theatre and have a commitment to making our programs accessible for all people including those with a disability.
To this end, we have been working for the past few years to ensure step free access from footpath to your seat! We have replaced the step into the foyer with ramping on our paving. Our Foyer is completely step free and we have removed the step in the Theatre itself, providing a ramped access to all seats.
We also have designated wheelchair spaces with companion seats beside them, which can be booked online for concerts and events with allocated seats, or over the phone when the session is for open seating.
We put in beautiful new, accessible toilets, with a dedicated accessible toilet, and an ambulant toilet in the male and female toilets.
Do you have a hearing loop in place?
For those who have minor hearing difficulties, we have available Free Headphones at the Box Office – just leave a $10 refundable deposit.
Do you have Open Caption Screenings?

Do you accept Companion Cards?
Yes, we accept Companion Cards for all our standard movie sessions.
How do I book a wheelchair space?
Wheelchair spaces are marked on our seating diagram.
For concerts and events that are booked through Humanitix, just click on the wheelchair space you choose. Companion seats are available to book when you book your wheelchair space.
Tickets for movies are sold through Veezi. If it is an event with allocated seats, you can simply click on the wheelchair space and book online.
For general movies with open seating, you can call the Theatre on 43 821 777 ext 2 and book a wheelchair space.
If you have any concerns with booking wheelchair spaces for any session, please don’t hesitate to call the Theatre on on 43 821 777 ext 2 for assistance.
When can I call the Theatre for assistance?
Our Session Times over the phone are open 24 hours a day. They can be accessed by calling the Theatre on 43 821 777 and pressing ext 1.
To speak to a team member, call 43 821 777, ext 2. Our phone line is generally open 30 mins prior to the first session. For most days, that means the phone lines open at 9:30am. The phone lines finish when we close at night.
Of course, when staff are busy assisting customers or when sessions are going in, staff are unable to take phone calls. Please call back in 10 or 15 minutes for assistance.
Purchasing tickets online
Do you allocate seating?
For general movie sessions, seating is open and you can choose to sit wherever there are available seats.
For live concerts and events that are booked through Humanitix, just click on available seats you would like to book. If you would like to change the seats you have chosen, double click on the seats you don’t want and re-select. Before you move to the next screen for your booking, check the seats are together and where you want them to be.
Tickets for event movies that have allocated seating can also be selected by clicking on your desired available seating. The system will automatically allocate your designated number of seats however you can change the seating position by clicking on the available seats you want.
Please check the seating plan carefully, noting A Row is now at the front of the Theatre near the stage.
S Row has our wheelchair spaces and companion seats in it, reserved for those who need them.
T row is accessed as you enter the auditorium, behind the wheelchair spaces. It is an overflow row and is only used in full houses. These are not cinema seats; they are stackable seats that are only put there when required.
Aisles and exits are indicated on the seating diagram.
Do you allow unaccompanied minors?
Sorry, no unaccompanied minors are allowed into the Theatre.
Once a purchase has been confirmed, can I make changes to my order or get a refund?
No. All tickets sold are done so on a no refund, exchange or cancellation basis. You must agree to these conditions when a purchase is made. Please ensure all details are correct at the time of purchase so no problems arise.
Do I need to present my online tickets at the Box Office?
We value your time and as such there is no need to go to the Box Office, simply present the tickets on your phone or as a printout from home. If you do not have these with you, please go to the Box Office who can look up your tickets under the purchaser’s name and print for you.
How secure are my credit card and other personal details?
Our online ticketing system has security measures in place to protect the customer from loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control.
When you purchase online, credit card purchases are generally protected against fraud by law, and your liability is limited. Check with your credit card company for details.
How many tickets can I buy online in one transaction?
The total number of tickets that can be purchased online in one transaction cannot exceed 10. This is to assist with security and prevention of fraud. If you require more than 10 seats, please put the additional seats through as a separate transaction.
What methods of payment can I use online?
The online system will accept Visa, Mastercard or Paypal.
Please note: All online purchases incur a per ticket booking fee.
Movies and events through Veezi incur a flat $2.20 per ticket fee.
Live concerts and events through Humanitix incur a fee of 99 cents per tickets plus 4%of the ticket price.
Can I buy online tickets less than an hour before a movie starts?
Yes, tickets can be purchased right up to start time of the session.
How Can I pay for My Purchase?
We accept cash, cards and vouchers.
Sorry, we are not set up to take American Express.
What happens to my booking fees?
Your booking fees are changing the lives of people all over the world.
We choose to partner with Humanitix, a not-for-profit organisation who donate 100% of their profits from ticket booking fees.
Humanitix is committed to investing in humanity and find the best way to do this is to partner with experienced, experts in educating disadvantaged children, specifically children from Indigenous Australian and New Zealand communities.
In 2023 so far, they have donated $6.5 million and we are proud to be partnering with them in this fine venture and thank you for your support in this worthy endeavour.
Can I buy movie tickets for future dates?
Yes and particularly for our special events is most advisable as they do sell out. For standard movies, the new programme is published generally Monday afternoon for the new weeks’ session times.
If I enter my credit card and the website crashes, will I get charged?
No. Your booking is not confirmed until you have received your booking confirmation and reference number.
What are 'Last Chance Seat' & why do they only appear for Live concerts?
‘Last Chance Seats’ is temporary seating in the back wings for live concerts. They come out when an event is sold out & are used to give more people the opportunity to see amazing concerts.
Do you have Gift Cards and Vouchers?
Yes we do! People love to give and to receive our Gift Vouchers, and there are so many different kinds to choose from!
They can be purchased online anytime or by person at the Theatre.
Can vouchers be redeemed online?
Unfortunately not. Vouchers can be redeemed in-person or over the phone
Can I choose the type and value of Gift Card?
Yes – we can help! We have single, double or 5 film passes, movie with a choc-top, movie and a cocktail…. And our most popular Gift Voucher is choose your own dollar amount!
We have themed vouchers to suit a wide variety of occasions too! Loads of fun!

I would like to have Corporate Gift Vouchers made. Is this possible?
Certainly, we would love to help you with that. Depending on the number of tickets you would like, you may like the vouchers printed with your logo or artwork. So that we can assist you personally, please email admin@avocatheatre,com,au or call us on 43 821 777 and ask for Luke or Beth.
How long are Gift Cards and Voucher valid for?
We want you or your recipient to use the Gift Cards and Vouchers so they are all valid for three years from the date of purchase.
Can I exchange a Gift Card or Voucher for money?
No, they each have their specific use.
What happens if the value of my purchase is less than the value on the card?
It’s very simple – the remainder of the value is kept on your card for your next visit or visits.
Order over 50 vouchers and receive significant discounts too!
For orders over 100 we can even add your corporate logo.

What happens if the value of my purchase is more than the value on the card?
Again, very simple, just pay the balance either with cash or card.
What happens if I lose my online Gift Card or Voucher?
We cannot replace or refund lost or stolen cards. Treat the card like cash and keep it in a safe place.
