WORLD FF - BREAKING BREAD

Director: Beth Elise Hawk,

Cast:

Genre: Documentary | Rating: M

Runtime: 85 Minutes

This Award Winning film is delicious! The delightful Dr. Nof Atamna-Ismaeel - the first Muslim Arab to win Israel's MasterChef - is on a quest to make social change through food.

She founded the A-Sham Arabic Food Festival, where pairs of Arab and Jewish chefs collaborate on dishes like kishek (Syrian yogurt soup) & qatayef (Ramadan dessert).

Featuring freshly chopped Israeli/Arab salad, exquisite mussakhan (Palestinian roast chicken) & kreplach (Jewish dumplings) made to perfection, this is a mouth-watering film about hope, collaboration and exotic fare spotlighting what happens when people focus on the person, rather than the problems.
